Restore the ultra low friction wax & race powder treatment when the original treatment has worn off. This is a highly detailed process with over 15 specific treatment steps required starting from the first round of ultrasonic cleaning through to the final Race Powder application. 

Pre purchasing with your Race Chain will also include a domestic pre-paid envelope to return chain to Zero Friction Cycling for treatment.

Choose your Race Powder Application

  1. Molten Speed Wax Race Powder application – this amazing powder reduces friction by a further 6% on the wax treatment alone! Please note that Race Powder is dark in color and can stain so use care in handling.
  2. Pure Teflon Powder application – this reduces wax treatment friction but not by quite as much as Molten Speed Wax Race Powder.   However it is easier to handle from a staining point of view, and is a pure white powder (and likely what you have been seeing in the pro peleton).

  • Treatment Lifespan – Dry conditions approximately 4-6 hours racing, wet or muddy conditions re treatment required after each race.

  • If doing a longer event that will require chain to be re-lubricated during the event (i.e 12hr or 24hour Enduro etc, please only use Squirt lubricant. This lubricant is highly wax based with a carrier fluid. Whilst like using an oil – dirt, dust and grime will stick, it still runs cleaner than oils and performs better than oils. There will be no surcharge to Re-Optimise chain that has had Squirt applied, there will be a $10 surcharge to clean chains that have had other lubricants applied.

  • If it is an A priority Race and you want to run the absolute lowest friction possible, select a Molten Speed Wax Race Chain!
